Because this is about sharing an experience that goes beyond what we can do on a computer, everything posted here is documented first-hand - DIY. The contributor actually saw, heard, tasted, and breathed what we publish. We want to find and celebrate artists and bands who may not have the visibility or resources to have their own recordings out there. If they do, we'll help hunt it down.

S/A's first album, TOTAL HEROES, is a futuristic triumph of catchy, genre-bending electro-punk with pop sensibilities. S/A (aka "Station Agents") is CK1 and Kid T-Love, two ageless, electro-brats who met teleporting through Zambia, unable to resist the magnetic musical chemistry that brought them together. Trading vocals and splitting songwriting duties in half most of the time, CK1 and Kid T-Love deliver an energetic, accessible and unique sound palette that never fails. TOTAL HEROES is available in some of the finest Washington, DC independent record stores, at Bandcamp, and streaming everywhere.
LEXANILA
The rule-bending and sound-blending syle of LEXANILA, led by aka Dan Diego, is now five years in and five releases deep. Born during the pandemic, LEXANILA aimed to create something unapologetic and real when the world turned completely surreal. The UNDERONA EP (2020) was the first taste of LEXANILA's genre-agnostic vision, portending what would follow on the full-length MEXICAN PINK (2021). LEXANILA built on those themes with three subsequent releases, the TRANSFORMERS single (2022), the BREAK//BREAK EP (2023) and the HEART BEATING A DRUM special New Year's single to bring in 2024. CHRISTOPHER KIMBLE
CRITICAL UNDERGROUND holds the remaining stock of the 2007 release Criminal Side of the Builder full-length CD from then-NYC-based songsmith Christopher Kimble. A bit of punk, a bit country, and a lot of heart. Recorded in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn by Chris Elliott on weekends from 2005-2006, Criminal Side of the Builder has a true indie vibe with some excellent stand out tracks, including "Soldiers on Parade," "Two Cigarettes" and "City of Lights."
